About Us

Established in 1979, The Deli has been supporting women and children impacted by domestic and family violence for over 40 years.

Throughout our rich history, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to creating a safe and nurturing environment where individuals can find solace, support, and the resources needed to rebuild their lives, free from violence.

At the heart of our mission is the commitment to promoting healing, resilience, and lasting positive change in the lives of women and children affected by domestic and family violence. We believe in the inherent strength of every person and strive to provide a supportive space for individuals to navigate their healing journey.

Our services are therapeutic-focused, with a strong somatic, strengths-based, trauma informed approach embedded in our organisation’s DNA.

Our Values

Inclusive at our Core

Healing from domestic violence is a long journey, and we believe that access to our services should not be limited by income, visa status, or arbitrary appointment numbers. We service all women and those identifying as women living within the Randwick and Bayside LGAs.

When appropriate, we will also support clients in accessing specialised care that reflect their specific needs and experience.

Locations

The Deli Women and Children’s Centre in located in Eastlakes, easily accessible by bus and with ample free street parking. We operate outreach services in Randwick, Maroubra and Rockdale.

When completing intake we will discuss which locations and availability are most suitable for our client.

Our history shapes who we are today, and with over four decades of dedication, The Deli continues to be a pillar of support for those seeking a brighter and violence-free future.
